Wardrobe Staples For Every Working Lady

Hello dearies, today I would be writing about investing in timeless pieces that are work appropriate while remaining budget friendly and I basically live my life around this pieces.

A Basic Blazer: When I say basic blazer please refrain from picking up that ugly and pain inducing blazer that is on your mind, thank you. Now a basic black blazer should have a perfect fit, inviting look and skin friendly material while still remaining affordable. Is this possible, yes it is. You just have to know where to shop (lol). I found a few Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here.

A Statement Jacket: I love a statement jacket especially those morning when you are half awake and can't be bothered to put together an outfit (yes I am one of those people who wait till the last minute to pick out my look for the day), all you need is that jacket that can pull together any piece you throw on together like these Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here

Perfectly Tailored Pant: This can't be overstated, get a tailor (they are very useful and necessary). A perfectly tailored pants would do wonders for your look and confidence as well. I may not be able to get you a tailor though but I  can help you score some amazing deals Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, for those pants you desperate need for work.
Fitted Straight Skirt: I am a major advocate of straight skirt to work and no it does not have to be tight for it to look good, it just has to be fitted enough to look good on your body frame. I chose the straight skirt because it can easily be dressed up for work or down for a night out with friends/colleagues without you making too much fuzz to reinvent your look and you can avoid the dreaded wardrobe malfunction that comes with flare skirts (I know the embarrassment). Score a few Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here

The Perfect White Shirt/Tee: A perfect white shirt cannot be overlooked in one's wardrobe. They are classy staples that will never let you down. If any other color won't work, you can always trust the white shirt or tee to step up to the challenge. I don't discriminate when it comes to fit or form because it all depends on how you wear it but a classic white buttoned down can never go wrong. A few finds are Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here. I got so many, I think I might need to step off the net for a while so I don't blow my savings.

A Classic Jeans: I do realize that everyone is advocating for flare jeans these days but I won't be doing that. I believe the cut and form of your jeans should depend on your body frame and what part of your body you are looking to make the focus of your outfit. I personally don't hate any cut, okay may the short flare/boot-cut jeans (I just don't get it, it isn't culotte and yet isn't ankle grazing). I try to have all types of cuts of jeans in my wardrobe but you could stick to cut that suit you and you are comfortable with. Kindly note that shredded/distressed jeans are not work appropriate (at least not my kind of work appropriate). No matter the cut, keep the wash basic, the jeans classy and the fit complementary. A few finds are Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here
The Perfect LBD: The Little Black Dress is a classic that can never go out of style, it is basically on trend every season and can be worn on any occasion. It is versatile and mostly accepted everywhere. The perfect dress depends again on your taste and what part of your body you wish to showcase. I found a few Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here that are great.

The Perfect Pair of Heels: I maybe a bit bias here because I love shoes but they are very important in your wardrobe too. It completes any look and can elevate a look from basic to classy. Asides from elevating a look, it makes one stand tall and exudes confidence. Usually I would say a pair of heels is an investment but there are affordable ones too. My go to shop for shoe is Shoe Dazzle as their foot wears are affordable. As you can see Here, Here

Others stores finds are Here, Here, Here, Here

The Go To Flats: I am aware that there are people who have sworn off flats and kudos to them but to me they are a necessity. You can't be serious catching the bus or train in heels unless you are pretty dedicated to the heel game and don't care enough for your legs in the long run. As a a budding fashionista like me and you would love to still look chic while catching the bus then the flat my dear is your friend. It doesn't have to be ugly and you can still make a statement with it if you want to. I found a few Here, Here, Here, Here, Here that are really eye catching.

And Lastly The Boss Bag: Yes some bags shout "I am in command". The structure and look of the bag screams boss lady which is necessary for your work outfit. I am not a bag person (yes I said that) but I make sure that I have a structured bag that is perfect for work. Found a few Here, Here, Here, Here, Here,

These tips are just for staples, it does not mean you are limited to only these pieces but that these pieces are a must have in your wardrobe. Most of my finds are from Asos, HM, Zara, Shoe Dazzle, MRP, Choies, The Outnet, Sheinside which are all currently having sales.

    Suit And Tie

If you remember correctly, I showed you all My Big Reveal. So today you would be seeing it in an outfit. I woke up with Angelina Jolie's outfit to BAFTA award on my mind so I decided to replicate it while adding my own touch to the ensemble.

Yeah, I tried it out with a white lace top. Different but me right?

My ultimate goal was to take the look and make it as ladylike as possible without ruining the effect of the suit and tie. I loved the outcome and received lots of complements on it.
I also decide to play with grey, black and blue as my basics.
What are your thoughts. Do you think my way of replication is cool or I should just stick to basic white shirt?

Am so sorry dearies for being unavailable for soo long, had to travel impromptu. Even after I got back, I was swamped with work but the good news is that I got to see my mum during her birthday which was totally amazing.

Anyway, today's outfit is from last week (can't really remember the day I wore it). If you have been following me on Instagram you would have seen this look on there.

Alright on my outfit, I wore an all black outfit to work and even though it felt blah to me, my boss was of the opinion that I looked like I was going for a party. As yours truly heard that, I took a snapshot of the outfit. It is not everyday my boss acknowledges my look lol.

The skirt is an old skirt my mum got me in my first year at school but I hardly wore it. Going home this past few weeks I decided to bring with me some of my old clothes and I love the mix of old and kind of new.
Would you rock suck a look to work?, would love to hear your thoughts.

My first attempt at incorporating a turban without wearing a trad went amazing well. I have been tying turbans and scarves a lot lately (and no it isn't religious more like my culture) but never tried it with a top and pants. So today, I decided to break that norm and use a turban with whatever I choose to wear. Hence, this outfit. What are your thoughts?.
