Happy Monday my dear readers and Happy New Month. I love the month of September so much because my mum's birthday is on the 9th and am totally excited for her to reach her big 50. Am sure she more excited than I am but I am really excited for her but I still don't have a clue as to what to get her. Every year, I and my siblings come together to do something exciting but this year we are totally out of IDEAS. So I need your help, what would you get the best mum in the whole wide world on her 50th birthday?. Hope to get your feed-backs.

On Friday I decided to wear a two piece to work. I have always wanted to rock this trend at work but I was not able to get the perfect two piece that would be work appropriate until I stumbled on this gorgeous pair. At first it felt too boho for work but then I worked my magic and transformed it into a work ready outfit. Okay, my trusty blazer did that lol.

It looks more like a dress but it is actually a crop top and a skirt. What do you think, did I make it work for a corporate casual Friday and would you wear something similar to work? So sorry for the poor quality of the pictures. Would do better next time. Thanks for reading.

  1. You look gorgeous!! Blazers really suit you, in my opinion <3 So chic.

  3. The color combo is great, and the blazer totally pulled together for work! I would get your mom, a trip to the spa or to a place she loves. My sister and I did that for my mom's 50th, she loved it!

  14. You did you magic good! And regarding the present - I think it should be all about family, like a collection of photos with her kids from Christmas or just fun days. Something that shows her how much she has achieved and that you appreciate it! :)

Suit And Tie

If you remember correctly, I showed you all My Big Reveal. So today you would be seeing it in an outfit. I woke up with Angelina Jolie's outfit to BAFTA award on my mind so I decided to replicate it while adding my own touch to the ensemble.

Yeah, I tried it out with a white lace top. Different but me right?

My ultimate goal was to take the look and make it as ladylike as possible without ruining the effect of the suit and tie. I loved the outcome and received lots of complements on it.
I also decide to play with grey, black and blue as my basics.
What are your thoughts. Do you think my way of replication is cool or I should just stick to basic white shirt?

Am so sorry dearies for being unavailable for soo long, had to travel impromptu. Even after I got back, I was swamped with work but the good news is that I got to see my mum during her birthday which was totally amazing.

Anyway, today's outfit is from last week (can't really remember the day I wore it). If you have been following me on Instagram you would have seen this look on there.

Alright on my outfit, I wore an all black outfit to work and even though it felt blah to me, my boss was of the opinion that I looked like I was going for a party. As yours truly heard that, I took a snapshot of the outfit. It is not everyday my boss acknowledges my look lol.

The skirt is an old skirt my mum got me in my first year at school but I hardly wore it. Going home this past few weeks I decided to bring with me some of my old clothes and I love the mix of old and kind of new.
Would you rock suck a look to work?, would love to hear your thoughts.

My first attempt at incorporating a turban without wearing a trad went amazing well. I have been tying turbans and scarves a lot lately (and no it isn't religious more like my culture) but never tried it with a top and pants. So today, I decided to break that norm and use a turban with whatever I choose to wear. Hence, this outfit. What are your thoughts?.
