Calm Friday

What's up y'all, Thank God it's Friday and this weekend promises to be awesome. I read a post on a blog I happened to come upon and I realized something, as humans we are quick to criticize but we never proffer any solution. The Blog which not only called out the president for being weak (I totally agree with that BTW), he also stated the solutions he believed would be necessary to combat terror attacks in the country. I have lived in the southern region all my life, so I can't possible say this or this is what goes on at the Northern Region but the pictures from the attacks are gruesome and the body count is increasing by the day and this just has to end anyway possible. I might not totally agree with the solutions but it's more than anybody who keeps criticizing this administration had been able to do. If this way is the only way, then by all means, we should go that route. Sometimes for a change to be made there has to be a revolution. To read more about the write up click here

Pushing aside the ills of my country, I would love to wish everyone a happy weekend and I hope you all get out time to enjoy it.

And for my outfit, I decided to be quite minimal in my dressing but I also played with colors as minimally as possible.

Being a braid lover, I did another messy braid.
And Happy 15th Wedding Anniversary to the Becks Family and I would love to read your comments. Happy Friday and Happy July 4th Celebration.

Suit And Tie

If you remember correctly, I showed you all My Big Reveal. So today you would be seeing it in an outfit. I woke up with Angelina Jolie's outfit to BAFTA award on my mind so I decided to replicate it while adding my own touch to the ensemble.

Yeah, I tried it out with a white lace top. Different but me right?

My ultimate goal was to take the look and make it as ladylike as possible without ruining the effect of the suit and tie. I loved the outcome and received lots of complements on it.
I also decide to play with grey, black and blue as my basics.
What are your thoughts. Do you think my way of replication is cool or I should just stick to basic white shirt?

Am so sorry dearies for being unavailable for soo long, had to travel impromptu. Even after I got back, I was swamped with work but the good news is that I got to see my mum during her birthday which was totally amazing.

Anyway, today's outfit is from last week (can't really remember the day I wore it). If you have been following me on Instagram you would have seen this look on there.

Alright on my outfit, I wore an all black outfit to work and even though it felt blah to me, my boss was of the opinion that I looked like I was going for a party. As yours truly heard that, I took a snapshot of the outfit. It is not everyday my boss acknowledges my look lol.

The skirt is an old skirt my mum got me in my first year at school but I hardly wore it. Going home this past few weeks I decided to bring with me some of my old clothes and I love the mix of old and kind of new.
Would you rock suck a look to work?, would love to hear your thoughts.

My first attempt at incorporating a turban without wearing a trad went amazing well. I have been tying turbans and scarves a lot lately (and no it isn't religious more like my culture) but never tried it with a top and pants. So today, I decided to break that norm and use a turban with whatever I choose to wear. Hence, this outfit. What are your thoughts?.
