I have come to accept that what seems fashionable to one might be atrocious to another, so when I get called out for not being more ladylike or for not rocking a prim and proper look I usually just say that a person's personal style is his or her choice.

What stands out for me is my personality and I don't believe in looking like everyone else, dressing like everyone else, acting like everyone else, eating like everyone else e.t.c. To me fashion is wearing what you love and what suit your personality. People have told me that you could chase the opposite sex away with the unconventional way you dress and I usually answer that if he's mine, he will accept me as I am and he would not want to change me to look like the generic ladies you see everywhere. This is my advice to everyone out there today, Be true to yourself regardless of others opinion. Opinions are like sh**, everyone can generate one.

That was how my morning started, with everyone trying to fix me into becoming that generic lady that is accepted by the society. I told them to go pick another cause. Anyway, today I tried to be as laid back as possible (that might have been one of the issues lol). What are your thoughts.

  10. Too funny, because I often get called out for being TOO proper and too prim and too ladylike. Some people tell me it's boring and I need to be "edgy" or "funky" and I feel exactly like you do: you do you, I'm gonna do me, and we all won't look the same and that will be awesome!

    1. So true, some times people need to relax and just enjoy the view. I love prim and proper look by the way but I don't want to be dressed like that (may be a few times in a year but not all the time).

Suit And Tie

If you remember correctly, I showed you all My Big Reveal. So today you would be seeing it in an outfit. I woke up with Angelina Jolie's outfit to BAFTA award on my mind so I decided to replicate it while adding my own touch to the ensemble.

Yeah, I tried it out with a white lace top. Different but me right?

My ultimate goal was to take the look and make it as ladylike as possible without ruining the effect of the suit and tie. I loved the outcome and received lots of complements on it.
I also decide to play with grey, black and blue as my basics.
What are your thoughts. Do you think my way of replication is cool or I should just stick to basic white shirt?

Am so sorry dearies for being unavailable for soo long, had to travel impromptu. Even after I got back, I was swamped with work but the good news is that I got to see my mum during her birthday which was totally amazing.

Anyway, today's outfit is from last week (can't really remember the day I wore it). If you have been following me on Instagram you would have seen this look on there.

Alright on my outfit, I wore an all black outfit to work and even though it felt blah to me, my boss was of the opinion that I looked like I was going for a party. As yours truly heard that, I took a snapshot of the outfit. It is not everyday my boss acknowledges my look lol.

The skirt is an old skirt my mum got me in my first year at school but I hardly wore it. Going home this past few weeks I decided to bring with me some of my old clothes and I love the mix of old and kind of new.
Would you rock suck a look to work?, would love to hear your thoughts.

My first attempt at incorporating a turban without wearing a trad went amazing well. I have been tying turbans and scarves a lot lately (and no it isn't religious more like my culture) but never tried it with a top and pants. So today, I decided to break that norm and use a turban with whatever I choose to wear. Hence, this outfit. What are your thoughts?.
